In the movie, opening in select U.S. theaters Dec. 30 and expanding Jan. 17, Streep portrays Margaret Thatcher, the first and only female prime minister of the United Kingdom.The actress has been earning awards buzz for the role. Jim Broadbent, Harry Lloyd, Olivia Colman and Alexandra Roach co-star in the movie, which was written by Abi Morgan and produced by François Ivernel, Damian Jones, Adam Kulick, Cameron McCracken, Anita Overland, Tessa Ross and Colleen Woodcock.
